Train Passengers ALERT: Indian Railways to start operation of 14 pairs of special trains on THESE routes—check details
Keeping passengers' convenience in mind and reducing Covid 19 cases across the country, the Indian Railways has decided to extend services of 14 pairs of more trains. These trains will be made operational from Sunday, June 27, 2021. Earlier, the railways had restored services of 17 pairs of special trains, including Shatabdi.

Indian Railways has been starting trains in graded manner keeping in mind demand and rush of passengers on specific routes. Train no 09271, 02913, 02929, 09027, 09017, 09313, 09321, 02905, 09205, 09057 and 09451 starts from today i.e. 26/06 & bkg of trn 05564, 05270 and 05560 will be thrown open for public from tomorrow.

"For the convenience of passengers, trips of 14 pairs of Special Trains are being extended," said , said a tweet from Western Railway.

Earlier, the Indian Railways has approved operations of as many as 660 additional trains between 01.06.2021 to 18.06.2021. These trains include 552 mail and express trains and 108 holiday special trains. During pre-Covid, an average of about 1768 Mail/Express trains were operating daily. As on 01.06.2021, about 800 Mail/Express trains were in operation as per Indian Railways. "During the period 01.06.2021 to 18.06.2021, approval for operating 660 additional Mail/Express trains has been given to the Zonal Railway," said a statement from the Indian Railways.
Once operational, passengers can make tickets from Indian Railways' ticketing arm IRCTC or other platforms on the specified routes.
