SUV Hyundai Creta hits 500,000 milestone in India

Hyundai Motor India today said its SUV Creta has crossed 500,000 cumulatives sales milestone since its launch in July, 2015. The company has sold 3.7 lakh units of the SUV in India and over 1.4 lakh units across international markets. "With the record sales of over five lakh units in less than four years by any made-in-India SUV, Hyundai Creta has yet again set a new benchmark in the industry," Hyundai Motor India National Sales Head Vikas Jain said in a statement.

Hyundai Creta's 2019 model has received an update to its feature list. The SUV comes with an all-new range-topping SX(O) Executive variant, which takes the total number of trims available to six. Creta does not get mechanical changes for 2019, and continues to use 1.4-litre petrol and diesel, as well as 1.6-litre diesel options. The Hyundai Creta uses 1.6-litre petrol motor with 121 bhp and 151 Nm of peak torque, while 1.6-litre diesel churns out 129 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque.
