Yes, both these iconic bikes, which left an indelible mark on the two-wheeler segment in the last century, are back to where they once were - fighting for marketshare and love of the bikers in the new millennium! While Royal Enfield is the entrenched defending champ, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is looking to be a very tough competitor by offering a standout bike in the form of Jawa. Enfield's sale
Enfield's sales have gone down from 70,126 units to 65,744 units in November 2018. The exports observed a drastic decline of 69% while in India it fell by 4%.
Jawa's latest addition
Market participants believe it will be difficult for Eicher to recapture its market as Jawa is coming up with the third bike, Jawa Perak, whose launch is slated for May, 2019. (PTI)
