The flight services at Kolkata Airport restored today, after many flights were delayed due to technical snags. The airport was in complete chaos, following a server breakdown on Monday evening. The service was down from 5.15 pm and a team was working to restore the service. The Local Area Network at Kolkata airport has been restored at around 11:30 pm.
"The Local Area Network at #KolkataAirport has been restored at around 0230hrs. We thank our passengers, airlines and all the stakeholders for patience and cooperation. @AAI_Official," Kolkata Airport tweeted on its handle.
"Due to technical fault, the Local Area Network at #KolkataAirport is down since 1715hrs. Our teams are working to restore the system. Inconvenience caused to our passengers is highly regretted. @AAI_Official."

Following the breakdown of server at the airport, many passengers started tweeting it. Rolly Sitani, a passenger, in a tweet described the situation at the airport yesterday. At the airport, thousands of people were stranded.
