India's Consumer Price Index (CPI), or retail inflation, in the month of November eased to 3.63% on year-on-year basis as compared to 5.20% during the same period last year. In October 2016, CPI stood at 4.20%, said Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) on Tuesday.
Rural CPI in November stood at 4.13% as against 5.95% in November 2015 and 4.78% in the month of October this year. Urban CPI in November stood at 3.05% as against 4.71% during the same period last year and 3.54% in the month of October.
CFPI or retail food inflation in November eased to 2.11% as against 6.07% in November 2015 and 3.32% in October this year.
Rural CFPI stood at 2.87% in November this year as against 5.75% last year in November and 3.86% in October 2016. Urban CFPI stood at 0.75% in November versus 6.53% in November 2015 and 2.33% in October 2016.
