Now, one thought that is in the minds of the people is that when will the 3rd wave of COVID-19 pandemic hit the country and what would be its impact. According to an ANI report on August 23, 2021, the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) warned of a third wave peak in October in its report to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). It has to be noted that the NIDM's report quoted Reuters' opinion survey of 40 experts that forecast that the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to hit India between July 15, 2021, and October 13, 2021. Insurance regulator IRDAI ordered renewal and purchase of corona special policy for the next six months, that is, till March 31, 2022. The IRDAI had ordered the launch of special Corona Kavach Policy last year to provide relief to the common man, but the renewal of the policy was only till September 30, 2021. Now, the IRDAI had ordered renewal for another six months due to the anticipation of COVID-19 3rd wave. Source: PTI

As per the data released by the MoHFW, as on Tuesday till 7 AM, 75.22 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
