Junglee vs Kesari vs Luka Chuppi vs Total Dhamaal vs Badla box office: One flop as others dominate
The year 2019 has seen many hits. Recent releases - Kesari, Badla, Luka Chuppi, and Total Dhamaal - maintained the momentum which started with the success story of Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike. Kesari and Total Dhamaal - have already got entry into the Rs 100-crore club, while Luka Chuppi and Badla are inching closer too. Akshay Kumar's Kesari crossed the Rs 100-crore mark by the first week itself. The movie has so far earned Rs 128 crore in India. Total Dhamaal has also shown great consistency in earnings. It has so far collected Rs 153.58 crore. However, Vidyut Jamwal-starrer Junglee, despite receiving good reviews failed to register much monetary success. It has earned Rs 18.15 crore in India business so far.
Kesari box office collection till now:
The movie, based on Battle of Saragarhi fought in 1897, has been a huge box-office success. The movie portrays the valour of Sikh soldiers. It was an unequal battle when only 21 Sikh soldiers fought against thousands of Afghan tribes. The story has caught the imagination of the audience. Junglee, however, could not see much monetary success, despite positive reviews. "#Junglee maintains at low levels... Trends lower than #Commando2... Much depends on its biz in Weekend 2, when new films arrive and screens/shows are reduced... Fri 3.35 cr, Sat 4.45 cr, Sun 6.05 cr, Mon 2.40 cr, Tue 1.90 cr. Total: ₹ 18.15 cr. India biz," Adarsh tweeted.
Badla box office collection till now:
The Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu starrer film has seen a moderate collection. Badla, the remake of Spanish film Invisible Guest, has earned Rs 81.79-crore so far, according to Bollywood Hungama.
Luka Chuppi box office collection till now:
The love story, with Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, is now very close to Rs 100 crore. Luka Chuppi has so far earned Rs 92.05 crore in India business, according to the latest statistics given by Adarsh on Twitter. However, the collection has fallen now.
Total Dhamaal box office collection till now:
The star-studded comedy film has so far earned over Rs 150 crore. The Indra Kumar directorial features Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey. It has also done much better than the other films in this genre in the overseas market.
