Madhya Pradesh elections 2018: Congress manifesto released, plays soft-Hindutva card, offers gaushalas

Madhya Pradesh elections 2018: Congress manifesto was released today, thereby kick-starting its strategy to impress the public to vote for the party in the upcoming elections. It is clear from the manifesto that Congress is playing soft Hindutva in Madhya Pradesh. The manifesto focuses largely on farmers, youth, women, tribals and industries. Madhya Pradesh will go to the polls on November 28 to elect a 230-member new state Assembly. The counting of votes will take place on December 11. Congress manifesto came in the form of an 86-page manifesto titled "Vachan Patra" that was released by senior Congress leaders including state Congress President Kamal Nath, campaign committee chief Jyotiraditya Scindia, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh. Addressing the media, Scindia said for the first time any party has released a "vachan patra" and not a manifesto. "This is a vachan patra and not a ghoshna patra, because we all have been hearing ghoshnas for the last 15 years." Check out Congress manifesto highlights here:
