What makes these salaries great is the fact that they are linked to 7th pay Commission system. The candidates will be paid as per Level 7th pay matrix of 7th CPC—Rs 44,900 (minimum level in revised pay matrix)  The latest news in government jobs on offer is from the Department of Energy, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL), which has invited applications for the post of Junior Engineer (Trainee) under E&M cadre. As many as 212 vacancies, including 191 Junior Engineer (Trainee electrical) and Junior engineer (Trainee-Electronics) will be filled under this recruitment drive. The online applications for Junior Engineer (Trainee) will be entertained from December 4 onwards and continue till December 28. However, last date of applying offline is December 30. Tentative test date will be in first week of February, says official notification. Source: IANS

UPPCL Junior Engineer selection procedure and exam centres

The candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT). The online exam will be conducted in different centres of Varanasi, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida and Meerut. The paper will be of 200 marks and the candidates will be given 3 hours to solve it. 150 questions out of total 200 will be asked from diploma level engineering syllabus and general awareness, while 20 will be from reasoning and 20 from Hindi. The candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years as on January 1, 2020. ST/SC/OBC (non-creamy level) of Uttar Pradesh will be given 5 years relaxation in upper age limit, while Divyang candidates will have 15 years relaxation in upper age limit. Source: Reuters

The candidates belonging to UR/general/OBC of the state will have to pay Rs 1000. The same has been kept as Rs 700 or SC/ST candidates, while physically handicap candidates will have to pay only processing Charge of Rs10.
