7th pay commission: The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government in its latest move has made a great gift for the police department. In a big move, the UP government has enhanced policemen's dress (uniform) and vehicle allowances. The policemen in Class IV category will now get increased amount of Rs 2000 from the earlier Rs 1500, following this announcement. The news is even better for Head Constables, Constables and other personnel as they will get Rs 3000 from the earlier Rs 2250. The UP cabinet under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took this decision on Monday, along with several other measures.

7th Pay Commission: Not just this gift for those who fall under the 7th pay commission linked system, the UP government had a number of other announcements that would be welcomed by the workers. Giving this information too, UP minister and the government spokesperson Srikant Sharma said that apart from enhancing uniform and vehicle allowances for police department, the cabinet also decided to enhance the incentive for Aaganwadi workers as per their performance. Under the new provision, Aaganwadi karyakarta will get Rs 500 while Aaganwadi worker will be given Rs 200 to benefit as many as 3.75 lakh Aaganwadi assistants and mini Aaganwadi workers in the state. (IANS)

Sharma informed that the proposal to include hot cooked food yojna in Mid-day meal was also approved, wherein, children in the age group of 3 to 6 years will get hot cooked food through ICDS under the Mid-day meal. In the whole year, these kids will get nourishing food including daliya and laddu for 300 days. (PTI)

Meanwhile, the UP cabinet also approved a proposal which identified 5,125 hectares of land for the ambitious Defence Corridor announced for the Bundelkhand region by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February this year. 7th Pay Commission: Even as this action was happening in Uttar Pradesh, another important 7th pay commission linked development happened in New Delhi. After protests, highlighting central government employees and their state counterparts plights, broke out at Jantar Mantar, near Parliament, the government rushed to call a meeting where it was decided that the Cabinet minister would put these demands before the central Cabinet. These demands are for bringing the old pension scheme back. It was discontinued and the new pension scheme is in place. Government employees are also demanding a hike in pay based on an  increase in fitment factor to 3.68 times from the current 2.57 times. (Reuters)
