Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate Swarveda temple in Varanasi on December 18
The Swarveda Mahamandir serves as a tangible manifestation of the spiritual treatise 'Swarved,' authored by Sadguru Sadafal Deo, the visionary founder of VYS and a proponent of the potent meditation technique known as Vihangam Yoga.
On December 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to officially unveil the Swarveda Mahamandir, a distinctive temple of spirituality located in the Umraha area of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This significant ceremony coincides with the 100th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Vihangam Yog Sansthan (VYS) and will be conducted amidst a grand Yajna involving 25,000 'kunds.'
The Swarveda Mahamandir serves as a tangible manifestation of the spiritual treatise 'Swarved,' authored by Sadguru Sadafal Deo, the visionary founder of VYS and a proponent of the potent meditation technique known as Vihangam Yoga.
Sant Vigyandeo, the successor of the current head of the Sansthan, Sadguru Acharya Swatantra Dev, shared with reporters that Prime Minister Modi had previously visited the under-construction site, acknowledging its fusion of ancient philosophy, spirituality, and contemporary architecture.
The upcoming two-day event, commencing on December 17, will witness the performance of a 25,000 Kundiya Yajna, with Vigyandeo overseeing the meticulous preparations. He highlighted Prime Minister Modi's familial connection to VYS, citing the late Hiraben's association with VYS's Dandakvan Vanda in Navsari district, Gujarat.
Vigyandeo disclosed that the Varanasi center will now serve as the primary hub for VYS, boasting a remarkable capacity to accommodate 10,000 meditation practitioners simultaneously across its seven floors. The architectural marvel seamlessly blends modern technology with ancient wisdom, featuring a stunning temple building adorned with 125 petal lotus domes.
The essence of Sadguru's philosophy permeates every corner of the temple, with 3,137 verses from 'Swarved' intricately engraved on the Makrana marble walls. The first phase of this ambitious project, spanning nearly two decades, also saw the installation of Sadguru's statue on the first floor.
In the second phase, Vigyandeo revealed plans for a 135-ft tall Statue of Spirituality, dedicated to Sadguru, near the temple. Elaborating on 'Swarved' as the knowledge of the self-soul and the supreme soul, Vigyandeo emphasized that Sadguru authored this spiritual masterpiece during his incarceration in 1920, following charges of mutiny during the freedom struggle. Post his release, Sadguru not only crafted 'Swarved' but also founded VYS, which has now extended its reach to over 150 districts in India and numerous countries globally.
Anticipated to draw over three lakh participants, the two-day event will feature the sprawling Yagyashala spread over a 20 lakh square feet area, complemented by a tent city to accommodate visitors from around the world. The inauguration of Swarveda Mahamandir stands as a testament to the harmonious convergence of spiritual heritage, architectural brilliance, and global participation in the pursuit of inner wisdom.
