RRB Recruitment 2018: Indian Railways is conducting one of the world's largest recruitment drives. Around 2.4 crores candidates have applied for a total of 1.2 lakh vacancies.

Admit Card: Since the applicants are large in numbers and it is difficult to make each candidate admit card available online at one go, Railways has decided to provide e-admit cards four days prior to the exam date. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep checking respective RRB sites for availability of their admit cards. Candidates can check for their e-call letter using their user id and date of birth as a password.

Exam dates: The first exam of the series was held on August 9. The examinations will be conducted in 3 shifts per day for 10 days, spread up to 31st August, 2018. The next set of exams will be conducted on August 10, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 29, 30 and 31.

Question Papers: Railways has roped in TCS to conduct the exam at 439 centers of 166 cities across the country. For the first time, question papers are being provided in 15 languages. Railways has said that the question paper has been designed as such no two papers will be alike. A candidate will get 90 minutes to solve a total of 100 questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness on Current Affairs.

Vacancies: There are 1.2 lakh posts in total - around 60,000 for Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) and Technicians and 63,000 are Level-I posts (erstwhile group D). About 47.55 lakhs candidates have applied for ALPs and technicians jobs while around 1.9 crore candidates have applied for Group D posts.
