REET exam 2021: Rajasthan govt cancels Level 2 exam, REET to be held again
The Rajasthan government has cancelled the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced the cancellation of the REET exam 2021 due to the paper leak controversy and said the Level 2 of REET exam 2021 will be conducted again, as reported by news agency ANI.
"We will cancel the level 2 of REET exam 2021, we will conduct this exam again: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot", ANI tweeted.
Last week, the Ashok Gehlot government sacked the chairman of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer, D P Jaroli, and suspended the Board secretary Arvind Kumar Sengwa as well as two others in connection with the paper leak during the teachers' recruitment exam (REET) in September.
"Fixing the responsibility of the Board, the chairman has been dismissed and the secretary has been suspended. The state government will take the strictest action against every person found guilty of malpractices, lapses and dereliction of duty in the examination," Gehlot said in a statement.
However, there's no any cancellation or extension of exam date of REET 2022 has come yet. The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers 2022 is going to be held, as per scheduled, on May 14 and 15, 2022. The dates have been declared by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
The exam will be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Ajmer (RBSE) for the recruitment of 20,000 new teachers. Applicants who will appear for the exam can check the official website, i.e., rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in.
