Singhvi says, the Q1 earnings would be make or break for the markets as the country was again in crisis due to rising cases of covid in the first three months of FY22, and need to see how much has the second wave of the virus has impacted the businesses.

Generally, July month tends to be good for the markets as in the last five years, four out of five July sessions ended positively and almost all indices were strong, adds the market guru.
He further adds, July is always good for the market, as except last year’s July series, all other series have shown a growth of 3-6 per cent on average from 2013 to 2020.

Moreover, the flows of foreign and domestic funds in the market is also somehow dependent on the first-quarter results, mentions the market guru, explaining further that they would decide their road-map ahead depending on the growth in the business amid the corona havoc in the past few months.
Stating that the market won’t decline much in July, Singhvi said, if Q1 results are good then the market would continue to soar, however, if the second wave of covid impact is seen on the companies earnings then there may be chances of minor corrections in the market.
The market has already discounted the March quarter results; especially chemical companies had reported spectacular results in Q4 of fiscal 2021 due to China's problem, Singhvi added.
