#StarsOnZeeBusiness: In a powerful chat with Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi on Facebook LIVE today on fame, fortune and life, actor Sonu Sood took a strong stand on the crucial need for taking up philanthropy and to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who have been less fortunate, especially in tough times like the current ones under the cornavirus pandemic enforced lockdown. Sood made some striking revelations and said that he has been busy helping the poor and the destitute in the lockdown period and has been able to provide assistance to over 45000 people till now. The actor added that there is much to do and the work will not stop here. Because of his recent acts of kindness, Sonu Sood has become a real life hero for all!

Singhvi, while complimenting the actor for his good looks and strong physique that he has been able to maintain in these troubled times, said that he was doing extremely noble work. Singhvi added that Sonu had a really soft heart within a very sturdy body as is clear from his great humanitarian work.
On being asked how did it all begin, the Dabangg actor revealed that the initiative started with 500-700 people. He said that a lot of of volunteers have now joined him to carry on this good work. He also said that this initiative is quite tough to execute and requires meticulous planning and execution.
The biggest challenge, Sonu revealed, is to ensure the safety of everybody concerned in this enormous exercise and this was proving quite difficult to tackle and required constant attention to detail.
Among his other efforts to help the needy, was the one wherein Sood opened his Juhu hotel to the corona warriors - doctors, nurses and para-medical staff who have been attending the coronavirus infected patients. He said that there are many hospitals in the vicinity and it was becoming very challenging for the staff to travel.
The actor said that he has also started a 'Shakti Annadanam' initiative where he is distributing raw food material like rice, flour, cooking oil etc to the migrant workers. The initiative became popular and news about it spread quickly simply through word-of-mouth and social media.
On his life as an actor and why he has chosen to play negative roles, Sood revealed that he has played a hero in many films. He added that he always believes that an actor should not be typecast and that has prompted him to play negative roles. He admitted that his strong point in acting was comedy.
The actor also spoken about his experience on working with two legends in the cinema - Amitabh Bachchan and Jackie Chan. In what will delight his fans, Sonu revealed that he will be working on a sequel of Kung fu Yoga with Chan!
Sood, who was born in Punjab, has been acting in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Punjabi films. The ace actor is best known for his roles in blockbuster films like Yuva, Athadu, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Jodhaa Akbar, Dabangg, Dookudu, Shootout at Wadala, Happy New Year, Kung Fu Yoga and Simmba. The actor who debuted in 1999 has had a career spanning two vibrant decades and his career graph is soaring further.
For the fitness freaks out there, Sood also said that he sees it as being a part of life and ensures that he works out for two hours every day.
When Market Guru Anil Singhvi asked him about his love for cricket and which IPL team he would like to captain, Sonu Sood revealed that he is an avid cricket fan and plays the game too. If given a choice, he would like to captain Punjab IPL team!
In this this freewheeling chat, Anil Singhvi asked how the Bollywood star managed his money in these crisis-ridden times! On his various ventures, Sood said that he has inherited his business acumen from his father who ran an apparel shop in Punjab. He still has it and runs it himself.
Sood said that his investments majorly went into real estate sector. He said that he runs a few coffee shops named Love and Latte in Mumbai and Pune, which are quite popular.
