WhatsApp trick: In the last few months messaging apps have been our best friends, allowing us to stay in touch with others, be it friends, family or colleagues. Of course, WhatsApp is one of the most widely used apps. However, every day it puts us in an awkward situation where we don’t want others to know that we are online, and still be able to use the app somehow. The challenge is that as soon as you open the app others know that you are online or the blue tick appears. Even if you disable the blue tick, the last online time appears.
However, there is a way around it as well. Here are two ways you can use to remain online on WhatsApp without letting others know:
Quick Reply
The easiest way is to reply directly from the screen. Whenever you receive a WhatsApp message, slide it down and use the quick reply option. The quick reply feature in WhatsApp not only allows you to reply from the notification panel without even opening the app but also hides your online status from other contacts. So, only you and your preferred contact can chat now without anyone knowing that you are online.
Airplane Mode
The other is to put the smartphone in Airplane mode, open WhatsApp and send text to whoever you want to. Then, turn off the Airplane mode. The message will be sent to the receiver without you appearing online.
Meanwhile, the instant messaging app is working on a multiple-device support feature which can soon arrive in the beta version of the instant messaging platform. According to WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the feature is in final stage of testing and some users will get to experience it soon.
The feature was earlier teased by the tracker. It is now reported that WhatsApp is preparing to enable this feature for its public beta testers. So users who are on WhatsApp’s public beta programme will be able to test it soon. There’s no word on when WhatsApp will roll this out for all users but with public beta availability it shouldn't be long.
