Google search introduces grammar check feature for enhanced English writing accuracy
Tech giant Google has introduced a grammar check feature for its search engine, Google Search. This grammar checker is designed to identify and correct grammatical errors in phrases or sentences. As of now, the feature is available only in English.
Users can utilize the grammar check feature by entering a sentence or phrase along with specific queries such as 'grammar check,' 'check grammar,' or 'grammar checker.' If the input is grammatically correct, a green checkmark will be displayed in the 'Grammar Check' section as the first result. However, if there are errors, Google will modify the sentence and highlight the corrections. The tool will also fix spelling mistakes.
While the feature aims to enhance writing accuracy, Google acknowledges that the grammar checks may not be 100% accurate, especially with partial sentences. Users can provide feedback if they encounter any issues.
It is essential to note that grammar checks will not be performed on content that violates Google Search's policies or features, including dangerous, medical, or inappropriate language.
Last month, Google launched a support page for this feature, and recently, they introduced new features in Search to empower users to manage their personal information, privacy, and online safety. One of the updates includes blurring explicit imagery, such as adult or graphic violent content, by default in search results.
