Mobile Apps Banned in India: The central government has blocked 14 mobile applications that were reportedly being used by terrorists in Pakistan. According to reports, these apps were used as communication platforms by terrorists to transmit information to Jammu and Kashmir.

Here's the list of 14 apps that have been banned by the IT Ministry.

- Safeswiss
- Wickrme
- Mediafire
- Briar
- BChat
- Nandbox
- Conion
- IMO
- Element
- Second line
- Zangi
- Threema
This is not the first time when the government has taken such a step. Earlier, the government had banned several Chinese apps.
So far around 250 Chinese apps have been banned by the government.
Among the banned list are TikTok, PUBG Mobile and UC Browsers.
The government said that these banned were prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the defence of India, the security of the state and public order.
According to the government, the IT Ministry received complaints from various sources, including several reports about the misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users' data to servers outside India.
