A 10- to 15-minute power nap recharges you for 5 to 6 hours," said Singhvi.

When a person sleeps for a short while, which is less than 30 minutes to recharge, it is known as a power nap.

There’s no medical definition for a power nap. But in general, the term refers to short naps ranging from about 10 to 30 minutes. A power nap that lasts 20 to 30 minutes is usually ideal. It’s long enough to give all the benefits of sleep without leaving one feeling groggy when they wake up.
