Sachin files complaint after his identity used for 'fake advertisements' to dupe people

Cyber Crime: Using someone's photo or voice is an age-old problem, but what if the victim of the crime is as renowned a cricketer as Sachin Tendulkar. The matter came to light when the Bharat Ratna cricketer filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police's crime branch on Saturday.
In his complaint, Bharat Ratna cricketer Sachin Tendulkar said that his name, photo, and voice are being used in 'fake advertisements' on the internet to dupe people. However, he doesn't know the culprit, and the case has been registered by the Mumbai Police cyber cell against unidentified people. The case has been filed under IPC sections 426, 465, and 500.

Sachin celebrated his 50th birthday last month. The cricketer has the record for the most runs in international cricket. He has 34,357 runs to his name with 100 centuries and 164 50s. He is the only cricketer in the world to score 100 centuries in international cricket.
